Comedy Night at the Venue continues with Britain's best comedians.

Headliner - Steve Royle

Steve Royle is an actor, writer, comedian, juggler, and a regular presenter on BBC Radio Lancashire. His Saturday morning 9 til 12 show means he is now a treat for both cochlea and cornea alike.

Last year saw Steve’s stand-up work go ballistic. He is a regular headline act at The Comedy Store and other “alternative” venues, performed alongside Steve Coogan & Peter Kay at the Apollo Theatre Manchester, and landed a role in channel 4’s “Max & Paddy’s Road To Nowhere”. In addition, he appeared in “The Laughter Show” at the North Pier Blackpool with more traditional comics Mick Miller, Roy Walker, & Duncan Norvelle. He also appeared on Granada Programmes “Behind The Scene” and “That’s Entertainment” (with Cannon and Ball) and was voted “Entertainer of the Year” at the inaugural Red Rose Awards.

"Every sentence he says ends up resulting in helpless laughter from the audience." Daily Telegraph

Headliner - Barbara Nice

Janice was spotted by Peter Kay as Barbara at The North West new act final – that he had won the previous year (Other winners include Caroline Aherne John Thompson and Dave Spikey ).

He asked her to be in his new TV series “That Peter Kay thing” and she then went on to star in both series of “Phoenix Nights “ as god fearing Holy Mary .Oher Tv includes playing Peter`s mum In Coronation Street .”Max and Paddy “as Holy Mary again - Dave Spikey`s “Dead Man Weds “as Carole and BBc 2`s skating rink comedy ”Thin Ice"

Mrs. Barbara Nice is a much loved headline act throughout Britain – Mother of Five from Stockport she believes in bargains and getting the most out of life –Ergonomically correct she doesn`t drive and travels the country by National Express coach –her husband knows nothing of her burgeoning comedy career –he thinks she`s either at Bingo or dog sitting.
