Sneak returns for Uber Bank Holiday Bash
The original house gangster is back, and what’s more he is joined by Uber debutants Nick Curly and Jasper James on May 3rd at The Venue in what promises to be an absolute belter.
In the time since Sneak last played at Uber he has continued to cement his legendary status with his up-front, authentic Chicago-house sound, which he has promoted vigorously in his numerous public spats with leading industry figures. With his massive frame, he is literally a larger than life character, and a firm favourite with the Uber crowd.
Nick Curly has been on the Uber radar for a long time, with his productions doing the damage on Uber dancefloors for many years. In 2014 he released on the likes of Defected, 2020 Vision, Azuli and Cocoon, so it’s fair to say he is prolific. Hailing from Manheim in Germany but with his foot very much in Sneak’s ‘up-front US house’ camp, he is the perfect accompaniment to Sneak, especially given they know each other well having performed together around world.
Completing the line-up is rising star Jasper James, officially the youngest DJ to ever perform at Glasgow’s legendary Sub Club. And since that point his rise has been stratospheric, having produced a superb Essential Mix for Radio 1 last year, and now presenting his own show on ultra-cool radio station, Rinse FM… and he’s still only 24! His on-point deep house sound is bound to go down a storm.
Uber founder Matthew Tyson said: “It’s great to have Sneak back - his sound really is what we stand for musically. But it’s also important we mix the old with the new, so we’re delighted to have Nick Curly on board for the first time, and in Jasper James we have a real gem who wasn’t even born when Sneak started DJing!”
